Acer has announced seven new devices at it's 'a touch more connected event' in New York.The devices include one new hybrid,two AIO's (All-in-One),four notebooks and a Chromebook.The company also introduced it's Iconia tablets at the event.All the device come with access to AcerCloud storage.
First is the Acer Aspire Switch 10 which 2-in-1 hybrid with a detachable-lid and has four modes: Notebook,Pad,Display and Tent.The hybrid comes with Acer Snap Hinge design which helps the it in flipping, folding, docking and detaching the keyboard.It comes with a 10.1-inch touch IPS Active Matrix TFT Color LCD LED-backlit display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.The display also comes with 178 degree viewing angle as well as Zero Air Gap and Acer LumiFlex technology for better screen legibility.The Switch 10 is powered by 1.33 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Bay Trail T Z3745 processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM.The device comes with upto 64 GB of storage which can be expanded upto 500 GB via a optional keyboard dock.
The laptop runs on Windows 8.1 and comes preloaded with Microsoft Word,Excel and PowerPoint at no additional cost.The hybrid also comes with a Precision Touchpad which support six-core Windows 8.1 gestures.Optional accessories of the device include the Acer Snap Case that protects and packs the tablet and keyboard for easy carry, and the micro USB cable that serves as a connection and charging hub.
The Aspire Switch 10 will be available in Pan America and Europe, Middle East and Africa by late May with prices starting at $379.99 (approximately ₹ 22,420) and €349 (approximately ₹ 28,200) respectively.
The next is the Acer Aspire E14 and Aspire E15 series of notebooks that run on Windows 8.1 and offer similar specifications,mainly differ in screen size.The former offers a screen size of 14-inch while the latter offering 15.6-inch display size.Both the series offer a choice of Touch/Non-Touch, Full HD/HD, and glare or matte display (all featuring Zero Air Gap technology),apart from Precision Touchpad with gestures and chiclet keyboard.The Aspire E series laptops come with a choice of 4th generation (Haswell) Intel Core processors or 2014 AMD-A series processors,discrete graphics (Nvidia GeForce 800M or AMD Radeon R-Series),and upto 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.The laptops provide battery life upto 7 hours depending on usage.
The Acer Aspire E14 will be available in choice of six colors: Piano Black, Pearl White, Glossy Copper, Ruby Red, Topaz Blue, and Jade Green — with a geometric pattern on the cover.While the Acer Aspire E15 will be available in choice of five colors: Midnight Black, Titanium Silver, Tiger’s Eye Brown, Sapphire Blue, and Garnet Red —with an elegant hairline pattern.The E14 and E15 will be available in Pan America,Europe, Middle East,Africa by June with prices starting at $299 (approximately ₹ 17,600).
The company also announced it's Aspire V11 (Touch) and E11 series of notebooks with 11.6-inch display,Windows 8.1 and a new FlowCurve design which is a an external rear curve that continues through the interior to create a unique visual flow.The laptops also come with fan-less design and Precision Touchpad with gestures.The 11.6-inch display of the devices come with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels apart from full-sized keyboards and dual stereo speakers.The V11 and E11 series are powered by a choice of Intel Pentium quad-core and Intel Celeron processor with upto 8 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
The Aspire E11 series will be available in Cool Silver, Rhodonite Pink, Tiger’s Eye Brown, and Quartz Blue colors —with hairline brush pattern.While the Aspire V11 will be available in Silver and Pink colors —with hairline brush pattern.The Acer Aspire E 11 will be available in Pan America by June with starting price of $269.99 (approximately 16,000).The Acer Aspire V 11 will be available in the same region at the same time period with prices starting at $369.99 (approximately ₹ 21,930)
Acer also unveiled two new AIO's (All-in-One) in it's Aspire U5 and Aspire Z3 series.The two AIO's include the Aspire U5-620 for consumers who want premium PC and Aspire Z3-615 for those on a budget.Both the PC's run on Windows 8.1 and come with 23-inch Full-HD IPS displays with Acer CineBoost Color Engine.
The Aspire U5-620 comes with front-facing dual array microphones powered by Acer Purified,apart from the dual-front facing speakers with Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater Audio and 1080p webcam.The U5-620 capacitive 10-point edge-to-edge multi-touch screen comes with anti-fingerprint coating that reduces fingerprint and smudges.Acer says that the display can be adjusted till 90 degrees until it becomes fit with the desk.
The Aspire U5-620 offers a choice of 4th Generation (Haswell) Intel Core processors,optional dedicated Nvidia GeForce GTX graphics,upto 1 TB of storage and 16 GB of RAM.The AIO also boasts of Wi-Fi 802.11 a/c connectivity for speedy internet connections.While the Aspire Z3-615 also offers a choice 4th Generation (Haswell) Intel Core processors and Nvidia GeForce.The PC also comes with dual-front facing speakers found in the U5-620.Acer says that the display of the device can be adjusted from -5 to 25 degrees and also be effortlessly repositioned from the nearest point to the user with just one hand.
The Acer Aspire U5-620 will be available in Pan America by late June with starting price of $999 (approximately ₹ 59,220).While the Acer Aspire Z3-615 will be available in Pan America and China by late June with prices starting at $599.99 (approximately ₹ 35,500).
Last but not the least was the World's fastest Chromebook revealed by the company.The device which is yet to named is powered by 1.7 GHz Intel Core i3-4005U Chipset with Intel HD 4400 integrated graphics.No details about the laptop have been revealed except the fact that it will come 14-inch and 15-inch models.
