OnePlus One with Snapdragon 801 and 3 GB RAM launched in the U.S starting at $299

OnePlus (a Chinese company) has launched it's first smartphone,the One which offers flagship specs at very low price.As it is a flagship device we will explain each and every single feature in detail.The company calls the phone a '2014 Flagship Killer'.

Design:Compact,Slim and Premium

The One Plus One has subtle curves,clean lines and slim profile.The One is just 8.9 mm thick and is easy to grip with a tapered edge of just 4.6mm.Each component including the custom cut and engineered PCB boards to the specially designed battery and dyed inner casing have a One Plus logo.

The company also offers unique StyleSwap exchangeable back covers which come in a range of materials and textures including kevlar, bamboo and denim on top of standard silk and sandstone.

Display:Crisp,Clear and Strong 

The One Plus One offers a 5.5-inch Full HD JDI display with LTPS technology for higher pixel density and sharper picture.The IPS display with TOL (Touch On Lens) technology responds to even the slightest touch.The company claims that the display is 300% more shatterproof than OGS (One Glass Solution) because of the Gorilla Glass 3 protection.The device also comes with 178 degree wide viewing angle.

Processor:Fast,Smooth and Powerful

The One is powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor alongside 3 GB of RAM.It is the same processor found in other flagship devices such as the Xperia Z2,Galaxy S5 and the One M8.The Snapdragon 801 offers integrated 4G LTE connectivity and Adreno 330 for playing graphic intensive games.The smartphone is available in 16 and 64 GB of internal storage which cannot be expanded.

Audio:Loud and Clear

The One Plus One comes with stereo speakers for better sound clarity.It also comes with tri-microphone noise canceling technology work together to identify, isolate and enhance the voice while simultaneously filtering background noise.The company claims that use of the third microphone results upto 80% increase in voice clarity.

Camera:Capture and Experience more

The One Plus One boasts of 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony Exmor IMX214 sensor for better picture quality.The rear camera has an f/2.0 aperture and comes with six physical lens to to avoid distortion and color aberration.The dual-LED flash ensures that the camera takes amazing pictures even in low light conditions.The rear camera is also capable of recording 4K video with stereo and slow motion 720p videos at 120 fps.

The One also comes with 5-megapixel front facing camera with 80-degree wide viewing angle and claims to capture distortion free images.

Software:Useful features,No Bloatware

The One Plus runs on Android 4.4 Kit-Kat with CyanogenMod 11S which is special version of CyanogenMod designed for the One.The CyanogenMod 11S comes with features such as Quiet hours,Privacy Guard,Voice Wake,automatically organized gallery and configurable Quick Settings panel.Voice command lets you wake the device or you can launch your favorite apps by drawing pre-set gestures on the sleeping screen.Users also have the choice to choose between on-screen and capacitive navigation buttons.The company claims that the device will receive updates atleast for 2 years.

Battery: Designed to Last

The One comes with a 3,100 mAh of battery which works together with energy efficient display to power the OnePlus One for more than a full day of use.The energy efficient display features CABC and DRAM (Display RAM) technology that adjust the level of backlight and differentiate between dynamic and static content on your screen. 

Pricing and Availability

The OnePlus One will initially be available in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and the United States in 16 GB Silk White and in 64GB Sandstone Black from Q2 2014.It is priced at $299 (approximately ₹ 17,700) for the 16 GB variant and $349 (approximately ₹ 20,700) for the 64 GB variant.
The first 100 smartphones will be available through the OnePlus Phone Smash starting from April 25.100 lucky applicants will get the very first 100 OnePlus Ones for just $1 as well as the ability to invite their friends to buy the devices.
