Nokia X+ Android smartphone launched in India at Rs.8,399

Microsoft has finally launched it's third smartphone in the Nokia X family in India,the Nokia X+ at price of ₹ 8,399.However,the company has not announced the availability details of the device.The smartphone was announced alongside the Nokia X and Nokia XL during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February.

The Nokia X+ features a 4-inch WVGA TrueColor LCD display with a resolution of 800 x 400 pixels and a pixel density of 233 PPI.It is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor coupled with 768 MB of RAM.It comes with a 3-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera without flash and FWVGA video recording.The device comes with 4 GB of internal storage expandable upto 32 GB via micro SD card and 15 GB of free cloud storage.It packs in a 1,500 mAh of battery which provides upto 13.3 hours of talk-time and 17 days of standby-time.
The highlight of the Nokia X+ is that it runs on customized version of Android which the company calls the Nokia X platform.The device runs on Nokia X platform 1.2 with it's Windows Phone inspired tiles and it's own Nokia store.The smartphones have no access to the Google Play store but users can side-load apps from third-party sources.Nokia has used the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) which corresponds to Android 4.1 Jelly-Bean with access to Fastlane.
