Sony unveils ZL2 with Android 4.4 Kit-Kat,Snapdragon 801 and 20.7-megapixel rear camera

Sony has launched it's latest flagship Xperia ZL2 smartphone in Japan.The pricing or availability of the device has not been revealed.The device is the successor to the Xperia ZL launched back in 2013.
The Sony Xperia ZL2 sports the same 5-inch Full-HD LCD Triluminos display with Mobile Bravia Engine 2 and X-Reality found in it's predecessor.It is powered by a 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor (the same processor which powers the Xperia Z2) with 3 GB of RAM.
The device runs on Android 4.4 Kit-Kat with Xperia UI on top and comes with 32 GB of internal storage expandable upto 128 GB via micro SD card.It packs in a 3,000 mAh of battery which provides upto 1340 minutes of talk-time.Connectivity options include 4G LTE for lightning speeds.
The highlight of the ZL2 is it's f/2.2 20.7-megapixel CMOS 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS for mobile rear camera with BIONZ Image processing technology and Sony's award winning G Lens.The rear camera is capable of recording 4K videos (3840 × 2160 pixels) and comes with electronic image stabilization.It also comes with 3.1-megapixel front facing camera with CMOS sensor.
Unlike it's predecessor,the ZL2 is water-proof (IPX5 / IPX8) and dust-proof (IP5X),and will be available in three different colors: Turquoise,White and Black
