Oppo Joy with 4-inch display and dual-core processor launched in India at Rs.8,990

Oppo has launched it's latest budget Joy smartphone in India at price of ₹ 8,990.The device was launched last month in Indonesian market at price of IDR 1,699,000 (approxiamately ₹ 8,600).

"There is a scarcity of affordable smartphones with high-end features in India. The new Oppo Joy will go a long way in bridging this gap and making more and more people enjoy the feeling of possessing a smartphone in the true sense,"-Mr. Tom Lu, CEO, Oppo India.

The Oppo Joy sports a 4-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800 x 400 pixels and comes with a Gloves mode which allows you to operate the device while wearing gloves.It is powered by 1.3 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A7 processor paired with 512 MB of RAM which is too much low by today's standards.It comes with a 3-megapixel rear camera with LED-flash and VGA front facing camera.
The device runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly-Bean with company's own Color OS on top and comes with 4 GB of internal storage expandable upto 32 GB via micro SD card.It packs in a 1,700 mAh of battery which provides upto12-hours of talk-time and 300 hours of standby-time.The smartphone will be available in Black and White color variants.
