Sony Xperia Z2 with Snapdragon 801 and 20.7-megapixel rear camera launched in India at Rs.49,990

Sony has launched it's flagship smartphone,Xperia Z2 in India at price of ₹ 49,990.The company has also launched it's SmartBand fitness tracker in India at price of ₹ 5,990 which will be initially bundled with the Z2 for free.

The Xperia Z2 is the successor to the Z1 and was launched back in February at MWC alongside the Xperia M2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet.The smartphone will be available in the country starting from May 12.
The company is also bundling 6 HD movies for free,one Full-HD cricket game and 3 months of Bigflix subscription apart from offering a original Sony case worth ₹ 2,990 for free with the device.
 
The Sony Xperia Z2 features a 5.2-inch Full-HD Triluminos IPS display with Live Color LED and X-Reality for mobile.The display has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels giving it a pixel density of 423 PPI.It is powered by 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM.The device runs on Android 4.4 Kit-Kat and comes with 16 GB of internal storage expandable upto 128 GB via micro SD card.It packs in a 3,200 mAh of battery which provides upto 19 hours of talk-time and 740 hours of standby-time.

It comes with a 20.7-megapixel 1/2.3 Exmor RS for mobile CMOS rear camera with f/2.0 aperture.The rear camera is capable of 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) video recording and comes with BIONZ for mobile image processing engine.The rear camera also comes with Sony's awarding winning G Lens and comes with Timeshift which lets you record 720p HD videos at 120 fps.It also comes with 2.2-megapixel front facing camera with 1080p video recording.
The Z2 is water-proof (IP55) upto 1.5 metres and dust-proof (IP58),and also comes with digital noise cancellation technology with ClearAudio+ which helps to reduce 98% of ambient sound.The device will be available in Black,White and Purple colors.
